Gamma 256 took place on November 28th here in Montreal at the Société des arts techonoligues (SAT). Unfortunately I wasn’t able to stay for long since I had other commitments to attend to, but I enjoyed my time spent there very much.

Sorry I haven’t posted in a while, I’m working on the site. Back to the funk in a few days.
Edit: Server move completed. More Prime is now powered by Media Temple.

I love this time of year, even tho it’s getting colder, the days are shorter and the holidays vacations are still far away, a tone of great games are coming out. Tones of new experiences to live, a bunch of wow moments to feel and truck loads of fun to have. Triple-A games are here, and here are the games I played this week.

I don’t like drifting away too much off Team Fortress 2, I’m afraid my skill is going to start to diminish and I won’t be able to be competitive when I’ll get back to it. But Super Mario Galaxy is just so great, right now it is getting all of my gaming time. Mass Effect is just around the corner too, oh boy this is a great time to be a gamer, I just wish there was a little bit more spacing between these great releases.

The Wii Remote jackets arrived and I have to admit they’re better than I expected. I asked for two since I have two Wii Remotes and they arrived rather fast and best of all, it is all free.
It won’t turn you into a better player, but it makes the remote a bit bigger and adds extra grip that feels better than the smooth surface. Is it a must? Not really, but if you’re afraid of dropping the remote or launching it towards the TV screen by accident, it could come in very handy.

There’s always a little bit of confusion on the release dates of games here in Canada especially in the province of Quebec. We usually get games one or two days after the official North American launch date, nothing very problematic there but the weird thing is the date is never consistent between retailers. For example Futureshop had it on the 14th, Bestbuy today the 13th and Amazon.ca yesterday. I wanted to get my hands on this game as soon as possible so I tried my luck this morning and got rewarded with a Get!

Video Games Live tour schedule already had Montreal listed for a long time, but the exact date has finally pop out. The concert is coming on February 8, 2009 at the St. Denis Theatre. Tickets can be bought via Tel-Spec, prices are $59.50 and $39.50.
I’m probably going to go, unless I forget to buy my tickets in time and the show goes sold out. One more thing to try to fit in my budget. Can’t wait to listen to Metal Gear Solid songs played live by a orchestra.

This is it, a fresh new start for the site. I had grown tired of the look of the old design, instead of just patching it up here and there I decided to do a complete reboot. I’m still using WordPress but now I use K2 along side which helps greatly in the customization and also provides very useful modules and plugins.
The sidebars might look dull and empty for now, but as I will be adding and posting more things on the site it will start to make sense.

Edit 3: I will start posting this Monday, which is the release day of Super Mario Galaxy!
Edit 2: Still not completely ready, some bugs are harder to squish then others.
Edit: I have a few bugs to take care, the site should be ready tomorrow.
I’ve been secretly working on a redesign! It will be up soon for your enjoyment.
